Are you looking to commence a career in Critical Care in a supportive and well led department? Do you have significant acute ward experience? Then we could be the unit for you.

We are looking to recruit Band 5 Nurses to join our 35 bedded Critical Care Unit (CCU). This busy dynamic unit admits emergency and elective admissions from a variety of specialities. The unit also has a 9 bedded PACU which takes high risk surgical patients through an enhanced recovery program. We want our team to come to work knowing that they can make a difference for the patients and the team.

Your professional development is important to us and all new Band 5 nurses undertake our Introduction to Critical Care pathway, which includes training in the Trusts Simulation facility. Band 5 nurses with more than 6 months Critical Care experience will have the opportunity to apply for the BSc (Hons) Professional Nursing Practice in Critical Care.

We also have regular team days to ensure the teams have time together and to support your learning.

The CCU is dedicated to excellence for patients. We can demonstrate some of the best critical care outcomes for patients in the country and we take pride in all that we do for our patients. This is a real opportunity to develop your skills in critical care and be part of a proactive Multi-Disciplinary Team. We have a great team who believe in the Trust Values of Kindness, Respect, Teamwork and to keep Improving.

Applicants are required to demonstrate a commitment to learning and developing, work as part of a team and strive for excellent patient care.
