Primary Care Consultant Ophthalmology
Summary of the Post
The post will ideally suit a forward-thinking individual with the desire to further their career in ophthalmology. A desire to participate in research and clinical audit is essential. It is assumed that the candidate will already have broad-based ophthalmology training and this will be essential to managing general ophthalmic problems.
The employing Trust is Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. The post is covered by the Terms and Conditions of Service of Hospital Medical and Dental Staff (England and Wales), as amended from time to time.
The successful candidate will be required to maintain registration with the General Medical Council
The successful candidate will also be required to reside within 10 miles of the Northampton General Hospital, to maintain his/her residence in contact with the public telephone service, unless specific approval for alternative arrangements are approved by the employing Trust.
