NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

The Unit is one of three lead centres within South London Neonatal Network and a tertiary referral centre for neonatal surgery. It has a large establishment of 170 nurses and support staff, ranging from Neonatal Assistants to Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. The unit has a capacity of 40 cots, 12 of which are intensive care, 12 high dependency, and 16 special care. The unit also provides a neonatal community follow-up service.

Band 7 Sisters

We are looking for skilled neonatal trained nurses with excellent communication skills and proven evidence of leading and supporting a team of nurses to deliver high quality care to sick premature babies. This is a rotational post between NNU and Special care. The sucessful applicant will be expected to work both short and long shifts as well as internal rotation to night duty. You must be NMC registered, in possession of a neonatal and mentorship qualification and have a minimum of 2 years recent experience at Band 6.
