This is an opportunity to try a new area of healthcare that you may not have considered or experienced before. Whilst advancing your core medicines management skills you can also develop a whole new skill set around supporting patient focused care and working closely with multidisciplinary Teams. The Pharmacy Department is currently undergoing developments and re-organisation to further improve the services it provides to our service users. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Technicians with good attention to detail and dispensing skills and an interest in mental health who would like to join the team based at Highgate Mental Health Centre and St Pancras Hospital.
The post holder will be involved in providing dispensing services to inpatient and outpatients and ordering medicines for patients on wards. All our pharmacy technicians are encouraged to develop medicines management skills and as accuracy checkers. They will also have opportunities to extend their clinical knowledge and be involved in service improvement projects to provide the best care for our patients.
This post requires you to be on the weekend rota (currently half a day every 8 to 12 weeks). There is no late duty commitment currently.
The trust has just achieved a good rating in their recent CQC inspection.
