It’s an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in January 2017!

This post is within an adult outpatient Neuropsychiatry department. It offers fantastic opportunities to provide psychological therapy using a range of therapeutic approaches and formats (individual and group work).

An interest, or previous experience in neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry would be an advantage, as would an interest in mind-body connections, complex trauma, and dissociative symptoms.

Neuropsychological assessment skills would also be an advantage. Referrals are often via Neurology and we support people with both functional neurological symptoms, and complex psychiatric problems secondary to long-term neurological conditions.

The post holder will join a team with a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, a Senior Clinical Psychologist, a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist, and specialist CPN’s.

Relationships within the wider neuropsychology services in Kent are supportive, and there is a well-established peer supervision network with neuropsychology colleagues across the region. There are strong links with the Salomons Centre for Applied Psychology Clinical Psychology training programme, and there may be opportunities for teaching and research.

This post is subject to a six month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.

Employment in this post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.

The role can be tailored to suit a post holder with the skills and experience, at either a full time Band 7, or a part-time 8a level (0.8wte).

The post is based in Sevenoaks, which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with good schools and transport links to London.

If your application is successful, you will be notified by e-mail. Therefore, please ensure that you regularly check your NHS jobs account.
