Description: As the UK’s largest not for profit healthcare organisation, this state-of-the-art hospital is one of the most modern and technologically advanced private hospitals in the UK, with excellent CQC reports and infection control records.

The Group combine hospitals, health clinics, fitness and wellbeing gyms, diagnostic units and a wide range of treatments into one complete health and wellbeing service.

They are currently searching for an established senior clinical leader to join their Hospital Management Team. As a Matron, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring your hospital provides safe and effective care to patients.

They believe in empowering their staff to do what is in the patient’s best interest so they need leaders who will challenge the status quo and be a real advocate for person centred care.

Person Specification:

This role is highly visible being the clinical lead with a passion for delivering care the way it should be. You will achieve this through effective operational management, inspirational leadership, and an unrelenting desire to improve clinical standards, care and services. You’ll need to maintain the excellent standards of clinical governance within the hospital whilst ensuring you are approachable and accessible to patients, relatives and colleagues.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a diverse range of surgical and medical interventions across a range of clinical functions including ward, theatre, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, HDU/ITU, imaging and pathology. You’ll be visible to patients, staff and Consultants and your strategic nursing experience will enable you to provide clinical direction for the Hospital.

You will be a Graduate Registered Nurse on the NMC effective register, and a Master’s degree in nursing would be desirable. You’ll have a progressive and well thought through career pathway, focused on acute hospital care with clinical experience in at least one of the hospital’s specialties. You’ll also have a track record of relevant continuous professional development and will ideally have completed a recognised nursing leadership programme.

Benefits: A competitive salary, generous holiday allowance, contributory pension scheme, along with on-going training development programmes and more.
