Trust Specialist Registrar in Acute Medicine (Winter Cover - No Banding)

The Trust is recruiting SPR in Acute Medicine.

The post holder will run two wards over the winter period for three months with one SPR and 4 SHOs across the two wards. Each ward has 19 beds, mostly side rooms.

The post holder will work Monday to Friday 0900-1700 providing daily morning ward rounds and afternoon ward/board round on all patients across these wards.

The patients will be a mixture of general medicine, short stay, cardiology (awaiting cardiology bed) and care of the elderly long and short stay.



Essential
• GMC registration
• Solid grounding in clinical medicine
• Some evidence of involvement in audit and/or presentations
• Sound general medical knowledge
• Sound communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Keen to learn and train in busy Major Acute Hospital
