Bromley Healthcare CIC (Community Interest Company) is an NHS community provider and part of the NHS family.

But we are a little different; we like to think that we stand out from typical NHS organisations as Bromley Healthcare CIC (Community Interest Company) is a social enterprise, staff have an opportunity to become shareholders. This means that our staff remain on NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions and are members of the NHS pension scheme (providing you are eligible), if not we can offer the Nest or Scottish Widows pension schemes.

What difference does this make?

Because our Nurses, therapists and support staff are shareholders in Bromley Healthcare CIC and have a real say in how our services are run, this has created a greater sense of ownership, responsibility & motivation among our staff which in turn creates better quality for our patients & families.

If you are keen to work for a dynamic, forward thinking but different type of NHS employer then Bromley Healthcare could be for you!

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead Musculoskeletal Podiatrist to join our Team. The successful post holder will work in clinics across the department.

You will be an experienced musculoskeletal practitioner responsible for managing a caseload of patients with varying diagnoses and/or highly complex needs. Previous experience in the field of high risk podiatry and diabetes wound care is essential.

There will be a requirement to use evidence based/patient centred principles to triage, assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate interventions in a defined clinical area.

Some experience of leadership is essential however Bromley Healthcare has opportunities for leadership development.

We aim to offer:

• The opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills
• A friendly and supportive team environment
• Close inter-disciplinary collaboration
• A welcoming approach to innovation and new ideas

You Would Gain:

• Experience in developing working practices in a growing and evolving team.
• Clinical experience in the specialties
• Clinical Supervision from the Service Lead Podiatrist

You will be involved in assessment and planning of individual patient care, working independently and as part of a team so good diagnostic, communication and team building skills are essential. There are opportunities to take part in Nail Surgery, Biomechanics, Wound Care and management of high-risk patients.

All staff are greatly encouraged to take an active role in current and future service redevelopment. You will be involved with student placements and our band 5 development programme. You will also manage a small team.

We manufacture our Orthotics in house in our Laboratory and thus you will need to demonstrate strong orthotic prescription and manufacturing skills.

We value our staff and seek to provide a programme of CPD and development opportunities. The successful candidate would be encouraged to actively participate in in-service study days, clinician rotations (including hospital diabetes, MSK, biomechanics, rheumatology and nail surgery), regular clinical supervision and team meetings as well as 1:1’s with your line manager.
