My client, a large secondary academy in south Manchester are looking to recruit a Mathematics teaching assistant to support the Mathematics department to deliver excellent lessons from key stage 3 and GCSE . The role is to start on Monday 29th October 2018 and will run on an ongoing basis, 5 days a week
Mathematics Faculty teaching assistant
5 days per week
Supporting the maths department with practical and classroom based teaching and learning
Supporting the maths department with admin and management of resources
Provide maths based intervention and tuition to students across key stage 3 and 4 to improve numeracy skills
11 to 16 academy
Supportive well staffed maths department
Excellent support from head of faculty and assistant headteacher who is a maths specialist and has worked there for 15 years

The perfect Candidate:
Recent experience of maths tuition/ teaching or working in secondary schools
Teaching assistant or teaching qualifications would be beneficial
Positive behaviour management strategies
Working in a well run supportive department
Long term supply with high possibility of becoming permanent

The Maths Teaching assistant is required 5 days a week and must be immediately available to start with no notice and live in commutable distance of South Manchester.
To be able to start this role you would need to attend an interview at our Warrington office or Didsbury Office to complete the safeguarding checks and have a clear enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
