We are currently working with a Catholic primary school in Leigh who is looking for a teaching assistant to work with two 5 year old boys in Year 1 with EHCPs for autism on a full time basis from as soon as possible.

We are looking for a teaching assistant with recent experience of

Supporting children in Key stage 1 or EYFS

Supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

Positive behaviour management strategies such as PRICE or TeamTeach would be beneficial

Ideally supporting boys with SENd

Understanding current SEN policies and implementation of Education Health Care Plans

A background in social care such as children's social worker, family support or child and adolescent mental health would also be considered

As an Academics Teaching Assistant you will need

6 weeks experience in an environment working with children with special educational needs

Details of someone who can provide a reference on request to account for your experience of working with children

A positive can do attitude

Immediately available to commit to long term full time work with vulnerable children

To be able to work 8.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday

Teaching assistant qualifications would be beneficial
