Spire Hospital Methley Park has an exciting opportunity for an Operating Department Practitioner OR Scrub Nurse to join us in our Theatre department. The successful applicant will provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative stage and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre

About the role

The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures; you will assist in Consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism. As an Operating Department Practitioner OR Scrub Nurse you will assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, and develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing.



Duties and responsibilities

The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures; The Operating Department Practitioner OR Scrub Nurse will assist in Consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism. As an Operating Department Practitioner you will assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, and develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing.



Who we're looking for

Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with extensive Perioperative experience and be used to working in teams with minimum supervision. Competent across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through a practitioner qualification and additional training (such as Surgical First Assistant training) is also desirable.
