Salary: £20,000 p/a

Stockley Park, Uxbridge

We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to be based at our head office in Uxbridge. This position has a wide focus and supports the Finance Manager in looking after every aspect of the financial recording and reporting of the company, including having specific responsibility for a selection of our settings all the way from transactional entries up to Management Accounts preparation. Key Responsibilities:

* Maintenance of purchase ledger: including posting invoices, obtaining appropriate authorisations and raising payments.

* Maintenance of sales ledger: including raising fee invoices, posting receipts and handling queries.

* Prepare & set up payments such as HMRC payments.

* Record and reconcile petty cash and credit card transactions for a number of settings

* Monthly bank reconciliations.

* Maintain fixed asset registers.

* Prepare prepayments, accruals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

* Management accounts preparation and variance analysis

* Provide financial support to the administration staff at settings.

* Assist with regular or ad hoc analysis and reporting.

* Identify cost saving opportunities and efficiencies

* Monthly payroll preparation

Requirements:

* Previous experience in an accounts office with a proven track record

* Ideally be AAT qualified or close to completing AAT qualification or equivalent qualification

* Knowledge of Sage 200 and Sage Line 50 Payroll or similar accounting/payroll software

* Strong Microsoft Excel and Word Skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* Good organisational and administrative skills

* A confident communicator

* Adaptable with a willingness to develop

* Enthusiastic and reliable

* A strong teamworker
