Spire Thames Valley Hospital has some exciting opportunities for Theatre Practitioners, with a focus on General & Orthopaedic Scrub to join our experienced and dynamic team. You will support across a variety of operations including Hips, Knees and spinal. Working with a wide variety of specialisms you will be able to develop you clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment.

Spire Thames Valley located in Slough provides the highest standard of private healthcare to patients from Berkshire and the surrounding areas. The hospital has a 45 bedded ward with 2 theatres, Endoscopy suite and 10 outpatient consultation rooms. Our modern hospital has a full multi-disciplinary medical team onsite.

We practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields. The Hospital is linked to the Spire Windsor Clinic, an outpatient facility in Windsor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient's needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.

You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices and plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with extensive Scrub experience and be used to working in teams and with minimum supervision. Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training is also desirable.
