Pertemps Medical Professionals are one of the Leading Providers to the NHS and Private Sector we are on the National Framework for (LPP, CCS and HTE), and First Tier Supplier to BMI, Ramsay, Virgin Care.

Our Specialist Mental Health Division has been set up for the unique needs of Health Care Professionals practicing in the Mental Health Setting.

We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health with Band 7 experience to work within the Older Adults team based in Hertfordshire. The post will commence with immediate effect for a period of 3-6 months offering 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements needed

- Evidence of current NMC Nursing registration
- Diploma/Degree in MH Nursing or Adult Nursing
- Evidence of working with stakeholders
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant clinical subject or equivalent experience
- Substantial post registration experience in a community and/or inpatient mental health setting
- Proven experience of multidisciplinary working
- Experience in Discharge Planning
- Knowledge of Continuing Healthcare Process

- Experience of CHC and its processes

- Previous experience at Band 6 level
- Experience of providing clinical supervision.
- Clear understanding of the needs of people with mental health difficulties





- An effective change manager



- Strong leadership and motivational skills



- Evidence of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to communicate with staff members of all disciplines and grade and with service users and their families/carers.



- Ability to influence, manage and achieve objectives



- Assertiveness, influencing and persuasive skills



- Self-motivated



- Computer literacy - including familiarity with excel and word and general computing skills.



- Evidence of reflective practice



- Analytical skills problem solving, data interpretation and formulation

- Car driver (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving)



- Carry out and document continuing care assessments. This will include frequent requirement for intense concentration, ability to assess complex needs and work effectively with service users, their carers and social networks.



- Ability to negotiate and problem solve in contentious and/or antagonistic situations where agreement is required. When agreement cannot be reached to communicate clear and rational decisions.

- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation relating to mental health; such as Community Care legislation, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Personalisation Agenda, Social Inclusion etc.

- Ability to prioritise work and deliver to agreed time scales and standards.
