What will this role of Electronics Engineer entail?
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as an Electronics Engineer you’ll be supported and trained to lead a team of 3 Engineers responsible for developing the company’s next generation of products which will underpin the exciting growth plans for the future. You’ll be the technical lead in your discipline, using your knowledge and experience to motivate and develop other members of your team. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
* Contributing to the hardware design of projects as required
* Ensuring the correct resources are available to deliver projects on time
* Motivating and ensuring the professional development of your team, creating a hardware development ‘Centre of Excellence’
* Supporting the overall development of Extronics’ present and future development plans
What will I need to be considered for this Electronics Engineer vacancy?
* Proven experience working as an Electronics / Hardware Design Engineer, including designing and testing circuit and PCBs
* Experience of obtaining product approvals through third party certification labs including EMC, LVD, ATEX and UL
* A degree or equivalent qualification in an electronics-related subject
* Highly organised with superb project management skills, with the ability to successfully deliver projects on time and in budget
* A keen eye for detail, with a quality-focused approach
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
* An entrepreneurial spirit, with a positive “can do” attitude
* Ability to work to tight deadlines effectively within a pressurised environment

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000, level dependent on experience. Salary potentially negotiable for successful applicants with substantial technical and leadership experience.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, with the ability to work flexibly around your home life
