This is a fantastic opportunity to join the largest privately-owned HR and Payroll provider in the UK. With offices in Nottingham, Dublin, Washington and Singapore, MHR has been delivering world-class software and services for over 30-years. As part of our success and continued growth, we require a new Cyber Security Analyst to join our security team.

Key responsibilities:

This will be a lead position in our Cyber Security Team supported by our security engineers. The role is aimed at supporting our hosting cloud services, and corporate IT teams. The main focus of the role is to provide security technical security leadership internally and across our supply chain. The role is also pivotal in implementing MHR security strategy by driving our security change initiatives.

Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, the role will work with the CIO and CTO internal teams and leading security consultancies and service providers. We are looking for someone with:

* A passion for security in software, technology, the Internet and cloud computing

* A record of delivering successful; security change programme

* A practical experience of current Cyber threats, attacks and incident handling practices

* Experience of working with security technologies e.g. NGFW, WAF, SEIM, MFA, SCAP and Vulnerability Scanners.

* Risk focused, and knowledgeable of frameworks like ISO27002, NCSC critical controls, ISAE3402 and for governance

* Can work at a deep technical level with security and IT peers and SOC engineers

* But can provide translations from technical to business speak across all levels of the organisation

Ideally you should have the security qualifications to back up the above experience, and be qualified as CISSP, CSIM or similar.

Skills required to be successful in this role:

* You will have at least five years relevant experience in a full time security role

* Demonstrable technical security skills including Cloud, Windows, UNIX, MacOS, Mobile, Database and Network technologies

* Familiarisation with vulnerability management frameworks and testing including working with external penetration testing companies

* Experience of Security Operations and Incident management i.e., Change management, trouble tickets, traffic and logs analysis, forensics techniques, and malware handling.

* Project Management of Information Security solutions impacting large server and client estates

* Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on Security Projects related to the Cyber Council Critical Controls.

* Experience of working with software development team to deliver solutions
