Position: Deputy Learning Disabilities Manager- Kingstanding- £21K
Salary: £21K
Service: Complex Care and Learning Disability Scheme

My client is currently looking for a Deputy Scheme Manager to provide management support for a New Build Flat Scheme in Kingstanding.

You will assist the Scheme Manager by providing day to day management of a New Build Flat Scheme including management of the support worker team, development of the new scheme, operational, financial and administrative functions.

This service provides specialist care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and additional complex needs.

The service is owned by one of the UK`s leading providers of support services. They have a fantastic senior management team and are keen to appoint a Deputy Manager that can grow with the service and also the company.

Main Duties:
• Ensure the referral process to provide efficient and timely screening of referrals for appropriateness, and to ensure effective and professional communication with referral and purchasing authorities about the services and other services in the group.
• Plan and deliver quality service delivery to the people we support
• Provide rotational on-call emergency system and participate in delivery of on-call services as needed.
• Assist other personnel with emergency coverage and crisis intervention support for all users as needed.
• Organise people we support and staffing meetings with involved agencies and professional providers, as appropriate.
• Maintain effective working relationships and communication with other social service and health care organisations and advocacy groups to ensure effective service delivery. Seeking guidance from the Scheme Manager as appropriate.
• Complete the development and evaluation of training programmes for support staff.
• Manage the maintenance of current and complete client records and reports in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure effective risk assessments are completed and risk management plans are developed.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Experience with Learning Disabilities and Autism- NVQ Level 3
• Team Leader/Deputy Manager experience
• Sound knowledge of CQC and Care Standards
• Dynamic & Enthusiastic
• Minimum 3 Years` experience in the social care or healthcare sector
• Minimum 2 Year`s management experience in the above sector
