Specialist Oncology Nurse

I am currently looking to recruit a specialist Oncology Nurse, on behalf of one of the biggest Private Hospital Organisations in the UK. The role would be based at their hospital in Bath. The hospital comes offer free parking and has excellent travel links to and from the hospital.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, working a flexible shift pattern, paying a salary of £34,340.00 per annum.

To be considered for the role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing.
• SACT administration competencies and experience
• Valid NMC registration
• Evidence of relevant clinical professional development
• Excellent clinical applied knowledge which is evidenced based and takes account of national best practice standards.
• Basic workload / shift management skills.
• Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
• Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• 18 months post registration experience.

Role & Responsibilities:

• To plan the specialist service for both inpatients and outpatients. Promoting and maintaining high professional standard of nursing; meeting the needs of patients in all aspects.
• To take the lead across specialist services in agreement with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Services on initiatives to develop and modernise effective patient centred pathways from diagnosis to discharge.
• Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
• Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
• Provide a high-profile commitment to professional development, teaching and education for all levels of nursing staff in the hospitals.
