Role Outline

You will be responsible for the divisional; demand sales volume and portfolio mix. You will defines and implement the Sales & Marketing strategy for the UK power grid automation market. Proactively lead, develop and coach the technical Power Grid Automation specialist sales team to achieve the agreed goals, growth initiatives and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be solely responsible for the orders budget for Automated Power Grid division and ensure the delivery of that budget and monthly forecasts are achieved through the specialist sales team and the broader Power Grids sales team in the UK.

Requirements include :

**Manages and is responsible for the demand market for GBU including third party sales, internal sales and channels.
**Responsible for creating, planning and implementing the sales, marketing (and communications) strategies for the UK in accordance with global marketing and sales strategy and budget.
**Owns and delivers the monthly order forecast for Automated Power Grids in the UK and defines key sales and marketing targets in line with business strategy and ensures these are achieved.
**Directly manages, coaches and develops a team of 4 specialist sales professionals, ensures that the Automated Power Grids specialist sales team is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
**Owns, manages and drives sales pipeline for Power Grid Automation, leads capture teams where necessary to ensure targets are met and long term profitable growth achieved
**Bid & Proposal: Ensures proposals are developed and approved to enable negotiations. Oversees quotations to promote optimal outcome. Ensures all status updates and documentation are accurately traced in appropriate systems
**Identifies all existing and new strategic segments and business opportunities based on analysis, defining strategy/business plans with the Power Grid Automation operating unit for each and coordinating the relevant teams.
**Market analysis: overseas the market intelligence process ensuring detailed market analyses of market drivers and trends, key completion, and emerging technologies. Produces monthly and ad-hoc reports to monitor market and progress

What is Essential?:
HND/ Degree in Electrical Engineering/ equivalent technical knowledge
Power transmission or communications Market/Industry experience
Sales leadership in industrial sales experience
Results Oriented
Developer of people - Building High Performance Teams

What is Desirable?

*Diploma/ Degree or equivalent Business Management
*Power Grid Automation experience

Salary/Benefits:

£80,000 - £90,000 DoE
Annual Bonus - Usually 20-25%
Company car / Allowance
33 days holiday including stats

Life cover - 6x Salary
