Head of Electrical & Instrumentation – UK Wide – Flexible

£70-90,000 basic plus package

The Enterprise Division comprises four companies: Contracting, Rail, Telecoms and Utilities. The Clients Enterprise Projects and Operational Support Team support the entire Enterprise division leading the deployment of best practice in assurance, project management, engineering and in handling strategic projects. (The Client) Enterprise Contracting is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.

The Role

The main purpose of this role will be to assume full P&L accountability for the clients Contracting’s Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) business across multiple sites in the UK, including setting the strategic direction and plan to align with the overall company strategy in order to develop the business into the leading E&I business in the UK. You will be required to lead and manage the business and its people to maximise profitability and revenue, ensuring that it achieves a high proportion of repeat business from customers, ensuring that our approach is tailored to exceed customers’ expectations and that maximum efficiency is achieved throughout all stages of our operations. In addition, you will need to comply with the company governance procedures and deploy company systems and process at all times whilst ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of all our people.

Experience

* Qualified to Degree level (or equivalent) in a construction related discipline

* Managing a P&L for a large scale contracting business.

* Knowledgeable regarding the E&I sector in the UK

* Comprehensive knowledge of JCT / NEC Form of Contracts to support the management of multi-site projects

* High level of commercial acumen and financial management skills.

* Excellent customer focus and an ability to build and maintain internal / external relationships

* Excellent strategic business planning skills and a disciplined approach

* Possess outstanding leadership and teamwork qualities and an ability to adapt to changing and challenging environments in order to meet deadlines

Additional Qualifications

* CSCS Card

* APM / PRINCE2 or similar

* proficiency of MS Word, MS Excel, MSP (Project Software) would be desirable

* full clean UK driving license is essential as travel within the UK will form part of the role
