Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics and Recovery
Key Details: A new opportunity has arisen for an ODP / Theatre Practitioner to join our fantastic team at a private hospital located in Portsmouth. Our clean, modern and comfortable hospital specialises in minor hand and foot surgery, eye surgery, general surgery, urology, colorectal surgery and investigative procedures using a camera (endoscopy). We also provide a walk in or appointment based X-ray service, an echocardiogram service (heart scan) and an ultrasound service (abdomen, pelvis and testes scan). We also offer community assessment services in audiology, dermatology, ear, nose and throat (ENT), ophthalmology and cardiac event monitoring.
Location: Portsmouth- within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum / £14.45 - £16.92 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week. (Negotiable DOE)
Bonus: Annual bonus provided.
Hours: Full Time- 37.5 hours
Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details about the role: You will work under the Theatre Manager to maintain safe levels of patient care throughout any surgical or anaesthetic procedure, the practitioner must have current and adequate level of knowledge, competence, understanding and skill in the field of anaesthesia You will be responsible for assisting with planning, implementing and assessing care of patients and ensure that standards are met as per national and local guidelines, including National Frameworks.
To be successful in the role, you will have: Relevant theatre experience and knowledge of current research, key issues and development in theatre practice. ODP Certificate Relevant and proven experience in an operating theatre, anaesthetics and recovery room Experience of intubation, extubation and resuscitation of patients
