My client is a specialist in Building services and has a large client base.

Job Objective: Manage the provisions of a wide range of technical publications to meet the output deliverables agreed with the Publications manager

Main duties:

* in conjunction with Publications Manager agree the plans and priorities for the delivery of technical publications to the agreed budgets

* Manage all aspects of technical publications content delivery, including commercial responsibility to ensure projects remain within the agreed budgets

* Ensure that all publications are delivered on time to the publications department

* Develop and manage the processes for effective delivery of authoring projects

* Authoring of technical publications in a wide range of media outputs

* Liaise with the Publications Manager to determine the output requirements

* Manage the effective and efficient outputs from internal and external authors commissioned by SCG to ensure compliance with the stated brief

* Support internal authors in producing technical outputs

* In conjunction with production team coordinate the authoring process

* Assist with the quality assurance of the outputs including proofreading and attending to peer review comments

* Act as a mentor for junior staff in technical authoring skills

* When required convene and manage industry steering and working groups

* Provide technical assistance as required to other staff and teams

Key Skills and Knowledge required:

The post is a nominal 37 hours per week, 8:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 – 16:30 on Fridays. Benefits include a Pension Scheme and 26 days holiday per year, pension scheme, etc. This is an office-based post in Bracknell
