We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work for a large production company located in the Ashbourne, Derbyshire area.
THE ROLE:
You will be a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer, and will have experience of working in a production environment within a fast paced FMCG company.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this positions responsibility is for installing, maintaining and carrying out improvements to equipment in the factory, maintaining Quality and Health and Safety standards.
You will deal with standard PPMs and handle unexpected breakdowns, diagnose problems, installation and testing in order to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and production is not disrupted.
You will work on both and electrical and mechanical basis, they will also need to perform tasks outside this field working with other professionals in order to improve production facilities and to reduce costs.
Duties will include:
* Mechanical repair and maintenance of all plant and machinery.
* PPM's (Planned Preventative Maintenance).
* Project work.
*Work on any maintenance issues as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
*Maintenance of DC motors, Servo motors and process control equipment.
*Support the production department by ensuring that the manufacturing equipment, which includes extrusion production lines and associated ancillary’s operate safely and efficiently.
*Electrical and mechanical installation of manufacturing equipment.
*Carry out both planned preventative maintenance (electrical and mechanical) and breakdown maintenance; carry out fault finding and repairs as necessary.
*Ensure daily and weekly checks are carried out to maintain the smooth operation of site.
*Support the other Maintenance engineers in the team.
*Manage and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
*Compliance to H&S policy and practice, ensuring excellent standards are maintained throughout production.
*Any other reasonable duties requested by the relevant line manager.
THE HOURS:
You will work a days shift pattern (7.30am to 4.30pm) Monday to Friday.
THE SALARY:
You will earn a basic salary of £33,250 / annum, plus outstanding benefits
