Our enterprise level client is about to embark on its most exciting and large scale infrastructure change programme in its 100+ year history. They are looking to radically improve how infrastructure delivers services to their end users and as such, have created a new Cloud Architect Manager role. In this role, you will take a highly strategic view of looking at how various cloud providers products could be implemented within their estate to improve systems, provide higher availability and a more robust environment. They have a number of global offices, so they feel delivering platforms over the cloud makes sense to ensure continuity. This role will see you working with the latest technologies in an environment where IT is seen as one of the most important tools in the business. What your background should look like; Have delivered enterprise migration projects to the cloud (Azure is the preference, but open to AWS expertise) Experience developing SaaS, PaaS or IaaS cloud solutions Strong networking experience across LAN, WAN, VPN and SDN Experience working within an Agile/SCRUM environment My client has extremely close links with all the major vendors and is regularly involved with beta testing their products. You’ll have responsibility for managing 3rd party vendor relationships and a small team of Analysts. You’ll need to be a confident presenter and be able to influence senior stakeholders at a non-technical level and advocate the use of cloud technologies.
