Senior Manager - Data & Analytics
This is a great opportunity to become a key member of the management team in a growing, market-leading specialist data and analytics team, working closely with some of the industry's finest and a portfolio of prestigious organisations on topical data issues. You will be responsible for supporting the development of and taking market-facing propositions to clients, developing the team and managing the engagements arising from client conversations. You will benefit from shared national and global expertise, whilst focussing on working on local engagements across a range of client sectors. The team help clients to establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information, and assure that information and data provided to regulators and third parties is accurate, complete and can be trusted. Engagemjents typically involve: • Data management, including data migration on technology programmes, data governance and designing and implementing responses to regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation; • Analytics and reporting, including visualisation of data to help organisations manage business risk establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that information can be trusted and improve decision-making; • Advanced analytics, using data science techniques to help clients navigate future risks and opportunities through predictive and prescriptive analytics. We're looking for: • Strong market credentials in data & analytics working with large organisations and an ability to demonstrate knowledge and insight in data management, management information and analytics; • Proven experience in one or more of the following markets with an understanding of the key industry challenges they face: Financial Services, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Retail & Consumer, Entertainment & Media; Government and Public Sector • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, including communication with senior stakeholders of a non-data background Technical: • Technologies that underpin the data management and analytics in large organisations. This may include technology supporting data lakes, “Big Data” analytics and data quality management; • Enterprise performance management (EPM) solution design and implementation; • The vision/roadmap of these tools and the wider challenges for data analytics; • Data migration processes and procedures as part of major technology implementations; • Development of data standards and taxonomies; • Use of visualisation technologies such as Qlikview, Tableau, Spotfire and Power BI. • Database and ETL technologies; • SQL (preferably SQL Server) and data manipulation Adam Appointments is the only Scottish agency specialising exclusively in Corporate Governance recruitment.
