A well respected company are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to manage the payroll operations. This is a large company and experience running large payrolls is very important. As the Senior Payroll Officer you will manage payroll operations, ensuring staff are paid, benefits administered in compliance with all HMRC procedures and legislation. You will be both experienced and qualified with supporting knowledge of HR. With detailed knowledge of PAYE, NI, HMRC current regulations, you will have hands on operational experience of payroll / HR legislation, administration and processes. With knowledge of general accounting processes, benefits administration, pension schemes and salaries. Core Business Responsibilities & Key Result Areas • Efficient management of UK payroll process • Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner • Administer benefit plans • Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements • Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports • Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations • Prepare and review payroll account reconciliations • Review and improve payroll policies and procedures • Oversee the maintenance of current employee data systems • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
