This vibrant, dynamic and highly commercial business already have a significant market share and the new investment will allow for further diversification which will undoubtedly result in greater market dominance. The Role The company are currently going through a period of change and need an individual with a strong background in payroll to collaborate with both HR and the finance team, in order to ensure a smooth integration. The successful candidate will assist with the administering and integration of a medium size payroll. You will be tasked with developing the wider team and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the wider payroll function through your proactive approach. On Offer The role of Payroll Consultant will offer a competitive salary plus a highly competitive benefits package. The headquarters of the business are based on the outskirts of Edinburgh and have parking available onsite. Due to the nature of the position, only individuals on upto 3 weeks’ notice can be considered. The role will be an ongoing contract however there is a chance of the opportunity going permanent. You will be involved in, but not restricted to, the following duties: Assisting with the integration of the new payroll system Building key relationships with key stakeholders and project team leaders Managing a team of staff through a period of change and ensure the knowledge is transferred effectively Planning and managing the system transition which will include testing, parallel running and data migration Ensure that the payroll is carried out accurately and on time throughout the transition Review, design and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness with payroll processes Make sure payroll complies with current regulations on PAYE, NIC, Pensions and Auto- enrolment Ensure compliance with all UK & Overseas pay ad tax legislation Arrange and attending internal and external meetings as required To be considered for this position you must have: A minimum of 24 months payroll experience – ESSENTIAL Ability to complete manual payroll calculations – ESSENTIAL Exposure to payroll integration projects would be highly advantageous but not essential Ability to answer payroll questions and queries Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact Jack Ramage if you would like to have a private & confidential discussion regarding this opportunity.
