This is a great opportunity to become a key member of a fast-growing, market-leading specialist cyber security advisory team,based in Edinburgh or Glasgow. You will have the chance to work closely with some of the industry's finest and a portfolio of prestigious organisations on topical security issues. This is a great opportunity to develop deep expertise, working across a variety of engagements with the support and training you would expect from a global Big 4 firm, building a network of leading experts, researchers, tech vendors and government agency contacts. This is one of the largest cyber security specialist consulting practices in the UK, and you will benefit from shared national and global expertise, whilst focussing on working on engagements in Scotland across a range of clients within Financial Services, Consumer Goods and Services, Energy, Oil/Gas or Mining, Utilities and national capital infrastructure, Digital, media and technology and Pharma, life sciences and medical devices. Due to unprecedented demand, the Cyber Security practice is growing and looking to recruit at Senior Manager, Manager and Senior Asociate level. Providing expert technical advice, guidance and support on cyber security, both in business-as-usual and for projects, you'll have a broad background ideally with specialities in specific areas which can be developed and honed as your career develops. Depending on the level you join at, you'll increasingly take on more business development activity across new and existing clients, and increased team management responsibility. Typically work could include: • Providing input to a security strategy and/or target operating model for an information security function • Conducting a security threat, risk, capability and/or maturity assessment • Designinxg technical solutions to address specific security challenges • Providing security subject matter expertise within a wider strategic client engagement A Senior Manager (and a Manager) can also expect to perform the following business development activities: • Developing toolkits, methodologies and accelerators to enhance our sales and delivery capability • Contributing to research and thought leadership to improve the eminence of our practice • Collaborating with third party vendors to develop new and innovative security services for our clients Experience we'd like to see includes one or a combination from the following: • information security experience in any form (i.e. operational, consultancy and/or sales) • Strong academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any subject • A good understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals such as networks, operating systems and databases • Knowledge of infrastructure and application security requirements and benchmarks (e.g. OWASP, CIS) • Experience or understanding of security legislation and regulatory frameworks (e.g. DPA, PCI-DSS, RIPA, PSD) • Experience or understanding of security methodologies and industry standards (e.g. ISO27001, NIST, SANS) • Any cyber/information security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC) • Experience of internal or external consulting or audit engagements • Exposure to multi-tier, web based and cloud based IT architectures • Knowledge of security technologies (e.g. AV, SIEM, IDM, IPS, F/W, SSO, DLP) • Knowledge of security assessment frameworks (e.g. threat modelling, controls assessment, risk assessment) Adam Appointments is the only Scottish agency specialising exclusively in Corporate Governance recruitment.
