Blueprint Recruitment Solutions are representing a leading company in the UK Water Sector, who have an immediate opportunity for a Dual Skilled Technician to join them on a permanent basis in Hampshire.

Key responsibilities:

* Ensure that all equipment at the sewage treatment works are running safely and efficiently using proactive and reactive maintenance methods.
* Inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
* Follow robust planned maintenance, getting involved in minor installation projects, electrical fault finding and emergency breakdown repairs.
* Working on various equipment including pumps and associated control gear, 3 phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSD’s, automatic valves and penstocks, flow and chemical handling.
* Carry out scheduled planned maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment in order to minimise plant breakdowns.
* Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid interruptions to the process.
* Investigate and diagnose complex faults and carry out repairs during incidents.
* Provide technical advice, referring to up to date technical knowledge and provide training support for technical trainees if required.

Essential requirements:

* Served apprenticeship with significant experience of electrical systems working in a true multi skilled capacity.
* Hold an ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ or C&G Level 3 in mechanical engineering with an upskill qualification in mechanical NVQ2/3.
* Upskilled with a mechanical qualification to allow to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
* Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues.
* Physical fitness with ability to work in confined spaces.
* Ability to participate in a 24/7 out of hours standby rota.
* Hold a full, valid driving licence.
