Job Title: Systems Engineer (Skilled/Semi-Skilled)

Our client is an established leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke advance process plant equipment used in the scientific advanced material development industries worldwide. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced skilled engineer to join our highly skilled engineering team within the manufacturing facility.

Job Specification

This role would be suited to a keen enthusiastic individual that is looking for an opportunity in career advancement in a multi-disciplined, engineering systems build environment. The ideal candidate will typically be from a mechanical or maintenance engineering background.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

* Work with their own skills and initiative using skilled engineering techniques and procedures together with recognition and awareness of current HSE safe working Regulations

* Minimum Qualification standards: – Mechanical Engineering BTEC Advanced or similar

* Ideally from an engineering/maintenance background with a strong mechanical bias with some understanding of vacuum, water cooling pipework, pneumatic systems within both sub-assemblies and large assembly builds would be an advantage

* Part of a small team working within a safe modern working environment

* Assist with sub system bench build and equipment tests, including configuration and calibration

* Experienced in setting and using manual lathe and milling machines

* General erection and disassembly of process plant equipment

* Training given within specific specialist areas if required

* Opportunities for future worldwide overseas travel (fully expensed)

Negotiable depending on experience (IRO £25k – £30k)

Full UK Driving Licence / Counterbalance forklift truck licence (Pref)

Working Hours:

08:00 to 17:00 – Monday to Friday (exc. Bank holidays) 40 hours per week – 1-hour lunch break – 12.30 – 13.30

Annual Profit

Sharing Scheme

January to December – Pro-rata membership in Year-1, Full Membership thereafter.

Holiday entitlement:

Year-1 = 20 days / Year 2 = 22 days / Year 3 = 25 days

(exc. Bank holidays);
