Science Teaching Assistant Person Specification
To be successful, you will be enthusiastic Science graduate who has a second class degree at the very least and already held a school-based position. The ideal individual should be able to display a truly caring personality and galvanise the school environment with their energy. You must have the skills to inspire all pupils you support effectively and take on additional responsibilities in your stride. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate with a devotion to supporting pupils with SEN and a genuinely caring and nurturing character .

About the Science Teaching Assistant Role
As a Science Teaching Assistant you will be joining the department that most closely matches your qualifications. You will have the responsibility of developing your own skills on a bespoke CDP course and aiding the linguistic development of EAL pupils. Work under a goal-oriented H who works hard to fulfil the needs of their team and operates an open door policy where the ideas and opinions of all staff members are taken into account. The Science department understand the importance of good learning tools, and as such you will have access to some of the latest resources and technology in SEN teaching. Your duties will include taking groups of students of particularly low or high ability and acting as their academic mentors. Your responsibilities will include cementing a place within one of the hard working, high achieving departments of the school. You will have the responsibility of delivering lessons day-to-day with the full support and help from the department head and senior teachers.
