Finance / Accounts Assistant

Full Time / Part Time (both considered), Permanent (Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5pm)

Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 dependant on experience

Location: Gateshead

Are you a bright & ambitious Finance Assistant looking for a new role within a successful distribution company? Are you experienced in finance, with the ability to work well with multiple departments in a fast-paced & busy office?

Roles & Responsibilities;

· Day to day responsibility for daily accounts

· Utilising Time Management System (TMS)

· Raising & processing invoices

· Bank & cash reconciliation

· Preparing payment runs

· Reporting on costings & revenue

· Checking delivery notes

· Credit control

· Payroll preparation

· General administration including filing, updating employee records etc.

· Regular maintenance of Quality System

· Stock take record updates

· Customer satisfaction surveys distributed & collated

The successful candidate will be;

· Qualified to AAT or equivalent

· Knowledgeable using software such as Merlin, Sage, TAS or equivalent

· Previous experience with ISO Quality Standards would be advantageous

· Previous experience within an accounts role (finance)

· Experience using Sage 50 software (& Sage Payroll is desirable)

· Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel

· Able to work in a fast paced office environment

· Able to multi-task effectively
