Ignata Education are working with a successful secondary school in Tyneside that has a requirement for a SENCO to join the school in January 2019.

This is an Interim role starting in January until the end of the school year and the chosen candidate will be required to working two days per week. The Headteacher is seeking an experienced SENCO/Inclusion Manager with the ability to develop outstanding whole school practice in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and inclusive education, and raising the standard of achievement for all students with SEND across school. In addition to this, you will also be required to delegate tasks within your SEN team; oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy and liaise with outside agencies and educational psychologists.

The interview format will consist of a formal interview with the Headteacher and one of the Deputy Headteacher's of the school. An in-tray exercise may also be included as well as a tour of the school.
