Job Title: Instructional Designer

Location: Milton Keynes (Work from Home also available)

Rate of Pay: £200 Per day (£7200 total for length of contract)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

Contract Length: 7 Weeks

Joining a multi-national organisation who specialise within engineering in a multitude of applications, a instructional designer is required to design learning solutions for internal and external customers. We are looking for an individual with a strong background and knowledge of eLearning, including SCORM Compliance, authorising tools (ie. Articulate Suite) and Learning and Content Management Systems (LCMS).

The role will be covering several areas within this large organisation, so you will need an ability to script eLearning in a variety of styles appropriate towards the target audience. The purpose of the position is to design fully integrated learning solutions, which may include Lesson Plans, Scripts and Storyboards to be used in creative manners.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, clients and the development team to develop learning assessments.

* Use recognised learning methodologies to select the most appropriate learning design

* Design learning evaluation methodology

* Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, clients and the development team

* Create engaging and interactive Instructor Led Training (ILT) material

* Create engaging e-learning scripts and simulation/scenario storyboards

* Author assessment questions for course materials

* Review lesson plans, scripts and storyboards to ensure quality and consistency throughout

* Work co-operatively with all levels in the organisation to ensure instructional design standards are maintained

* Overseeing the build phase of digital assets ensuring the learning design stays true to the original concept

Experience/Characteristics required:

* In depth knowledge of SCORM compliance in eLearning

* Knowledge of Learning and Content Management Systems (LCMS)

* Accuracy and attention to detail (excellent quality assurance)

* Show initiative and be able to develop ideas

* Excellent written and spoken English

* Ability to apply principles of SAT and ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy of design and Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of evaluation.

* Attention to detail

* Time management and Multi-tasking skills

* Internal customer relations experience

* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

* Awareness of eLearning authoring tools
