We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Risk Assessment Senior Analyst, Cybersecurity.

In this role, you will:

* Review software applications and the associated architecture for potential security vulnerabilities by conducting security reviews i.e. Secure Design review, Threat Modelling
* Liaise with Developers, Architects, and Project Managers to understand the working of an application, how effectively they are implemented and where security mechanisms are employed
* Understand the business requirements, evaluate potential products / solutions and provide technical recommendations
* Be "hands on" with technology and to contribute to the design, development and support of projects with the Security recommendations
* Identify risks across the IT estate; including applications, databases, network and other infrastructure components
* Identify controls to ensure compliance with HSBC Information Security policies and standards

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

* An excellent understanding of general security concepts and principles and application specific security concepts and principles, as well as an understanding of applications design and architecture
* A good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on cybersecurity
* Knowledge of Threat Modelling, assessment of impact and likelihood of threat scenarios
* Understanding of emerging technologies and corresponding security threats
