The General Merchandise business at Ocado is enjoying rapid growth across both ocado and in the creation of our new ‘destination sites’ (fetch, sizzle and fabled) which specialise in specific categories. In future months we’ll also be launching our first partner using the Fulfilled By Ocado (FBO) platform.

The Head of Destination Sites has commercial responsibility for the FBO platform and physical store for Fabled. We are looking for a Commercial Assistant to support them in the ongoing running of our destination sites, in particular the management of key commercial relationships.

What we are looking for:

* An interest in monitoring and reporting on industry trends and innovation across our markets

* A love of negotiation to ensure we’re receiving competitive rates across our commercial agreements

* Responsibility for managing key 3rd party relationships and ensuring they meet our agreed service levels

* Ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency/make savings across the platform/individual sites

* Strong commercial understanding and the ability to prioritise projects best placed to deliver continued growth or make best use of available resource

* In conjunction with the wider GM business; define and develop new commercial relationships needed to support our business’ aggressive growth plans

* Strong interpersonal skills; they will need to work closely with a number of key stakeholders

* Ability to assess risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation

* A flexible approach, we work within a fast-paced industry and our strategies are constantly evolving to reflect this and ensure we are providing a market leading proposition

Skills and experience:

* A minimum of two years retail experience

* Experience in driving commercial outcomes

* Ability to work with both commercial and technical teams

* Have ambition and a real passion for all things customer-centric
