£47,502.00 plus 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension, Sickness, Shares, Sub Canteen etc etc

Engineering Team Leader
As a Team Leader you report directly to the Maintenance Manager. You will assist in the delivery of the site business plans and goals and communicate these to members of your team.
Whilst remaining within the boundaries of the Group’s framework, the site business plans and financial budget you have responsibility for the day to day running and development of the department.
Your responsibilities include the health, safety and general wellbeing of all employees and visitors to the site, assisting in the delivery of the production plan and financial targets, the upkeep and maintenance of the assets and facilities on site and the development of your team to deliver to their full potential.

The Engineering Team Leader will ensure our client continue to develop themselves and to create an engaged and collaborative workforce.
You will take responsibility for setting goals, agreeing objectives and conducting one to one review meetings with your direct reports.
Work collaboratively with other teams and individuals within the site to deliver best practice.

- You will ensure the company strive to work in an environment that is built on foundations of Respect, Transparency, Honesty, Trust.
- You will adopt and encourage an open, positive and constructive approach whilst promoting a culture of change management in which continuous improvement is sought and achieved.
- Ensure that as a team and through individual commitment and performance, our client will deliver the regional and company vision, values and strategic goals.
- You will ensure that all engineering activities are carried out efficiently whilst consistently achieving the requisite standards.
- With the support of the Maintenance Manager you will progressively assist in moving the site towards its goal of zero downtime.
- Help to deliver the site’s financial performance on plan and to forecast.
- You will manage your team to maximise efficiency and morale.
- Lead the six sigma improvement activities in your team by owning, setting and reviewing targets.
- You will ensure our client strive to eliminate all accidents and create a harm free environment for all our employees, sub-contractors and visitors.
- You will ensure the site maintains a safe working environment at all times by ensuring that the site’s safety policies and procedures are adhered to and ensure that all site activities are carried out in compliance with the Company and site’s system.
- With the support of the Maintenance Manager you will assist in actively promoting a positive safety culture which progressively moves the site towards its goal of zero lost time accidents.
- Through the promotion of Continuous Improvement and modern manufacturing methodologies, assist in implementing and maintaining systems to reduce waste maximise profitability and improve shareholder benefit.
With the support of the Maintenance Manager you will assist in progressively moving the site towards its goal of zero defects.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience for the Engineering Team Leader

- Be able to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities.
- Have an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training
- Demonstrate technical knowledge backed up with recognised qualifications in your field of expertise.
- You must be able to demonstrate good business awareness.
- Be motivational and encourage an entrepreneurial approach.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Have achieved a Safe to Supervise or IOSH Safety certificate.
- Take responsibility for you and your teams’ ongoing development.
- Have achieved or will achieve a six sigma Yellow belt qualification.
- Have a high standard of interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels within the business.
- Working understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Systems.
- Working understanding of ISO 14001 Environmental Systems.
- Working Understanding of ISO 50001 Energy Management
- Conversant with Microsoft office computer packages.

12 hour shifts two weekly rota 24 / 7
