Blueprint Recruitment Solutions are representing a leading company in the UK Water Sector, who have an immediate opportunity for a Skilled Technician to join them on a permanent basis in South London.

The primary role for the Technician is to ensure all electrical equipment associated with the sewage treatment works are running safely and efficiently.

The role comes with a competitive salary, van, tools, PPE as well as a generous benefits package (which includes 24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and an excellent pension scheme which allows up-to 18% of employee / employer contributions.)

Key responsibilities:

* Inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical plant equipment.
* Work with the maintenance team, following a robust maintenance plan as well as getting involved with minor installation projects, electrical fault finding and emergency breakdown repairs.
* Carry out installation works on a variety of electrical equipment at a range of industrial and construction locations involving a number of different processes.
* Inspecting, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment such as, 3 phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems, automatic valves and penstocks.
* Carry out repair and maintenance of electrical motor drive systems and associated control systems including inverter drives.
* Carry out unscheduled emergency maintenance work.

Essential requirements:

* Qualified electrician, who has electrical experience working on industrial plan equipment.
* Previous experience in the water industry.
* Have completed an apprenticeship, have a BTEC HNC or equivalent in an electrical subject.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues relevant to the water industry.
* Excellent communication skills
* Hold a full, UK driving licence.
