Job Title: Finance Assistant/Administrator

Location: UK-London

Overview:

* Data entry for a high volume of financial statements into bespoke database system
* Daily monitoring of bank balances and reconciliation of transactions for over 100 underlying accounts
* Recording and subsequent analysis of all cash receipts and cash payments for underlying investments at company level
* Reconciliation of company database to that of our third party administrators
* Maintenance of sophisticated document management system
* Ad hoc reconciliations and analytical tasks as and when appropriate
* Filing and archiving as appropriate
* General assistance on administration tasks

Other ad hoc work as required, which may include generating ideas for process improvements and efficiencies, and project work/initiatives.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL

* Some exposure to Excel
* Prior experience in accounts payable or similar data entry role
* A ‘can-do’ attitude
* Strong communication skills

DESIRABLE

* Proficient in Excel
* A good deal of accounts experience
* A keen interest in Financial Services and Private Equity
* Studying towards a finance qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
