Looking to grow your career in finance? Bureau Veritas are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable and Treasury Team Leader to join our Manchester based shared services centre.

We are looking for an experienced team leader to lead a team of 6 direct reports in managing the cash processing functions of the Finance Team, including all cash in/ out for eight legal entities. The role will also be involved in maintaining continuity of our supply chain through timely and accurate processing of bank payments to subcontractors, suppliers and employees.

Responsibilities include:

* Manage the Accounts Payable process for eight Bureau Veritas entities – multi ledger and multi-currency

* Oversee the invoice processing function to ensure timely, accurate and complete entries are processed into the invoice approval system

* Carry out daily interfaces of approved invoices into the Accounting system

* Oversee the weekly interface of Time & Expenses entries from multiple production systems to enable employee expense payments and WIP file production

* Approval of all outwards payments, both manual and through bulk BACS upload

* Managing the month end process including reconciling control accounts, and generating accruals for unapproved costs.

* Review and approval of month end reporting generated within the Accounts Payable Team

* Drive reduction of business levels of unapproved supply invoices

* Managing the archive, audit and analysis of employee expenses to ensure compliance with HMRC and internal expense policy rules

* Monthly reporting on business spend including employee expenses and sub-contractors

* Assist the General Ledger team with audit deliverables to complete bi annual external audits

* Oversee the timely processing of incoming client receipts

* Monthly processing of Inter-Company payment runs

* Daily cash management of current bank balances

* Review and action of unreconciled bank transactions identified on bank reconciliations

* Maintain a complete audit trail of transactions including a fully documented evidence file to support all bank related postings

PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

Candidate requirements include:

* AAT Qualification or equivalent required

* Previous AP and/or Treasury Team Leader experience

* High level of IS literacy with accounting packages

* Advanced excel skills for extracting data from multiple sources, formatting and presenting accurate financial reports and analysis

* Experience of preparing accruals and understanding of basic accounting

* Basic VAT knowledge

* Basic knowledge of Benefits in kind (BIK)
