What do Microlise do? We’re an established market leader, a growing telematics and electronic proof of Delivery Company based in Nottingham. Our mission is to empower our customers to reduce their costs and environmental impact, by maximising the efficiency of their transportation operations. Microlise have just under 400 members of staff based in Nottingham and you will be joining a team of 4, we also have offices in India, Australia and France.

Our HR team plays a pivotal role in the Company and the HR Advisor will contribute to the success of the department. You will have the ability to quickly build rapport with all stakeholders. We’re looking for someone to take a HR Generalist approach to your tasks and not be fixed on pure ER work.

The ideal candidate will be able to handle a wide range of complex cases but also be happy providing support on normal daily tasks involved in the employee life cycle. We’re looking for someone who is an experienced HR Advisor who is passionate about HR and what we can achieve as function. Being a small team you will be a team player who has a ‘pitch in’ attitude, and you will champion and drive forward our core values.

Responsibilities

Advising managers on a full range of HR services, including policy interpretation and implementation, performance management and employee relations.

Support with disciplinary and grievances; coaching & mentoring managers, as well as note taking during meetings.

Updating and maintaining our cloud based HR System.

Positively contribute to the continuous improve of HR including; systems, policies & procedures and working practices.

HR project work to meet demands of the business.

HR administrative tasks for the complete employee life cycle.

Analysing data and producing reports/providing feedback to the relevant stakeholder.

Essential

Extensive experience at an advisor level managing case work.

Be working towards or willing to work towards a level 5 CIPD qualification.

Possess demonstrable experience of advising and working alongside a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.

Be a logical thinker who is able to solve problems.

Personable and skilled at reading people and situations.

Have previous experience of working in an SME with a head count between (Apply online only)

Experience of HR project work from conception to completion.

Current knowledge of employment law.

Be organised and meticulous in your work.

Display and champion our core values.

Display and champion the CIPD behaviours.

Previous experience of working in a manufacturing sector would be advantageous, but not essential.

We’re expanding in France; it would be great if you are fluent in French or willing to learn if it is suitable for the role.
