Athona Education is working closely with a brilliant school in North West London to assist them with the recruitment of a Year 3 teacher to start as soon as possible.

Position: Year 3 Teacher

About the school:

This is a lovely, 3 form entry school in a residential area of North West London, that is well-served by public transport. The school have a long-standing relationship with Athona Education and we are proud to have assisted them with their staffing needs for the past few years.

The school is led by an inspirational Headteacher and established leadership team and together, they have taken the school from "failing" status, to now being oversubscribed.
The school is modern and well-resourced throughout, including an amazing audio visual suite. The Headteacher has a passion for getting the "basics" right, and places an emphasis on maths basics, spellings, handwriting etc, but in a state of the art setting. This is a superb place to teach.

The role:

The school are seeking a Year 3 teacher to start on 5th November, to cover a maternity leaver who has had to leave earlier than expected. The class are apparently delightful, with no significant behavioural issues and area pleasure to teach. The class have been left in a good position with all records and assessment up to date. You will be joining an established, successful team, with all long term plans in place. NQTs will be considered for this role.
Ideally, the school would like a teacher who can commit until the end of the academic year, however at this late stage, they would consider someone until Christmas.

The successful applicant is expected to:

- Be a qualified teacher
- Teach the Year 3 curriculum to the highest standards.
- Be able to continue the good progress already made with this class
- Deliver fun and engaging lessons that also challenge and develop learning.
- Ideally be able to commit until the end of the academic year
