A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ICT Service Desk Support Technician to join a specialist manufacturing business operating internationally. As a member of the ICT Service Desk you will be covering all aspects of IT Support including 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line support issues.

The role is based at Stoke however you will be required to travel to other UK sites and on occasion travelling internationally. Our client offers a warm and friendly working environment, 33 days holiday and pension scheme. The role is based in Stoke on Trent and is commutable from Newcastle under Lyme, Stone, Stafford, Longton, Uttoxeter, Leek.

Job Description:

* As the ICT Service Desk Support Technician, you will be responsible for supporting 200 + users
* You will be the first point of contact for the users dealing with a range of IT support issues covering mainly 1st & 2nd Line support and occasionally 3rd line support
* Identifying PC issues, fault finding, diagnostics and resolution, where necessary escalating more technical queries to a specialist within the team
* As the ICT Service Desk Support Technician, you will be dealing with PC, Laptops and mobile devices
* Attending meetings overseas approximately 8 times per year

Candidate Requirements:

* Previous experience working within a similar role IT support, ICT, 1st& 2nd line support
* Previous experience in supporting PC’s, laptop and mobile devices
* Knowledge of windows 2007 & Windows 10
* Previous experience within Windows Active Directory, Windows server 2008/2012
* Knowledge of LAN Management and topology
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with people on all levels
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel within the UK and Overseas
* Call-Out - will be part of call off team every 5-6 weeks, to deal with emergency calls, may answer and response time within 1 hour
* Knowledge of German or Spanish would be advantageous

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

Salary: Up to £31,000
