Full time Maths Vacancy at a secondary school in Burnley to commence from January 2019 - Competitive pay

Your new company
Your new school is a mixed 11–16 foundation secondary school located in the Burnley area. The school has made significant changes in recent years and the recent OFSTED report boasts about the effectiveness of leadership and management throughout school and the Personal development, behaviour and welfare. There is a clear vision throughout school and this is driven by a very supportive senior leadership team. The school is easily accessible and has excellent motorway links.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be joining a high achieving department and will be responsible to teaching Maths through to KS4. The vacancy is to commence from January 2019 and has arisen due to the substantive post holder securing a promotion. The role is full time and will operate on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year. The school are seeking to appoint to the vacancy permanently, so there is scope for a permanent position following a successful temporary assignment. You will be required to plan and prepare all lessons and deliver to mixed ability pupils. Marking and Assessment will also be required and as the role is long term, the expectation is that you will also attend all school functions including parents evening.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, it is an essential requirement that you hold Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching Mathematics through to KS4. You must also be available to start in January and be able to commit until the end of the academic year. The school are seeking to appoint a pro-active and motivated individual who can add to the already high achieving department.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and will develop your own teaching skills and experience working as part of this successful department. There is also scope for this role to become a permanent role for the right candidate. Throughout your assignment, you will be supported not only by a senior leadership team with a clear vision but also by a dedicated Hays Consultant who will assist with any queries you may have. You will also join our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme where you could be entitled to £250 in high street vouchers.
