Assistant Finance Manager (Maternity Cover) - Stevenage
Equivalent to £30k - £35k + Benefits - depending on experience
Temporary - 10 Months

We are recruiting for and behalf of our client, a renowned entity in their chosen sector as they recruit for a commercially driven finance professional. The role has arisen due to a maternity leaver but the need for a strong individual to take over key responsibilities remains.

Main responsibilities include:

- Monthly billing reports
- Partnering with Project Management, Sales, and Operations teams to evaluate project revenue
- Analysing and reviewing income and profits from clients
- Analysing contracts held to ensure consistent terms with client base
- Manage the timecard process
- Supporting the project management systems
- Managing the invoicing process
- Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager and team on ad-hoc project work

Ideal candidates will have strong Excel skills as well as the ability to communicate with finance and non finance stakeholders. Organisation and the ability to prioritise workloads will put candidates in good stead. Accounting knowledge is also a prerequisite including an understanding of reconciliation, revenue and costs, and commercial movements.

The role will primarily be autonomous so the ability to come in and hit the ground running is desired. Experience in a similar role, possibly from a project based background should provide the self starter attitude required.
