Mesirow Financial Currency Management Technology offers a challenging opportunity to be part of a highly specialized group supporting London Currency Alpha Strategies. The role is client focused with responsibilities for supporting core business processes covering order generation, order management, trade execution, trade confirmation and trade settlement. This role requires an individual with strong business and technical knowledge to support their Front Office applications and electronic trading applications as well as deliver on critical business driven projects and initiatives. A solid understanding of Financial Instruments and Trade lifecycle is essential to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact with Traders, Portfolio Managers, and Operations
  • Work closely with Shared Services groups, including Information Technology and Legal and Compliance
  • Work with Shared Services IT to align and uphold enterprise practices and policies
  • Must be team oriented and work well within a global team
  • Must shows empathy and exceeds client's expectations
  • Must be self-sufficient, accountable, and take ownership of IT related issues
  • Manage incidents, problem and change management related activities using Confluence and Jira
  • Good understanding of Trade Feeds; FXall FIX, Quick Connect, Trade STP
  • Good understanding of common security controls and network protocols; x509 certificates, TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, Telnet
  • Good analytical, problem solving skills coupled with strong communication skills
  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows OS
  • Good understanding of Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practice
  • Assist development team gathering requirements and performing user acceptance testing
  • Manage, monitor, and create new data feeds and broker connectives
  • Advance database skills in SQL queries, store procedures, SQL Agent, ETL, SSIS, and SSRS (MSSQL 2012+ preferred)
  • Advanced understanding writing and maintaining scripts PowerShell, Shell, Python
  • Good understanding of Collaboration tools, Source Control (SVN, VSTS)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Continues Integration and Continues Deployments
  • Understanding Microsoft C# .NET (.NET Core preferred)
  • Understanding of alpha strategies, currency overly, passive and active risk management

Education/Training: 

  • Bachelors or Associate degree in IT discipline
  • Five-Seven years of financial service experience
