Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer – Central London – Contract/Interim – up to £750/day
A global bank is looking to hire a financial services regulatory lawyer on a short-term contract. Based in the heart of London, you will be joining an established legal team that prides itself on diversity, honesty and teamwork. Working closely with the front office, your core focus will be providing legal advice and analysis on various directives and regulations (Brexit, MiFID II, MiFIR, Benchmark Regulation, PSD II etc.), the FCA rulebook and related legislation. Supplementary tasks also include revising agreements and implementing change where necessary, advising and liaising with external counsel on legal reviews of directives, producing legal know-how for the legal department, and negotiating ad hoc contractual matters, such as trading venue on-boarding arrangements. Although this is an interim position, there is a strong chance that the contract role could be made permanent upon conclusion.
You must be at least 5PQE, be UK or US qualified, possess top city law firm training, and have extensive financial services regulation experience gained within an investment bank. Given the urgency of this role, you must also be available to start this role within the next month.
