Academics ltd is supporting a mainstream secondary school in Worcestershire and has an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified science specialist for the academic year. We have a role available for a bright and enthusiastic science specialist to start in January 2019. The school is looking for a confident candidate with good communication skills; strong behaviour management skills and someone who is passionate about helping kids achieve their full potential.

The role

You will be a qualified and experienced science specialist looking to teach a KS3 & 4 class. An exciting opportunity for you to play a vital role in teaching and helping students improve and achieve academically.

The job role includes:

Plan work in accordance with departmental schemes of work and national curriculum programmes of studyMaintain good discipline by following the school's pupil disciplinary policies and procedures.Set appropriate and challenging work for all pupils in KS3 & KS4 classKeep appropriate records of pupils' workComplete pupil reports in line with school policy. Attend parents' evenings as required and keep parents informed about their child's performance and future targets

Requirements

Resilient, driven and self motivatedHold a UK QTS, PGCENQT Science TeacherExperience in teaching trilogy AQA science is advantageousUK classroom experienceAbility to plan engaging lessons using numerous learning methodsAvailable full time from January 2019Able to travel around WorcestershireValid DBS or willingness to obtain one

Desirable

At least 1 year experience in a UK secondary schoolBe qualified up to degree level with tutoring experienceProven experience
