Job Overview: We have been tasked by our client, an established injection moulding company to source and recruit a Toolmaker to join the manufacturing team responsible for the repair, modifying and maintenance of the injection mould tools. This is a day’s only role (Expiry 25/11/2018)
Job Role: Working a day’s-based role, The Toolmaker will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of injection mould tools on site. You must have experience as a Toolmaker or a Precision Machinist within a manufacturing or engineering facility. The ideal candidate will have experience of injection mould tool manufacturing, a strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn and develop on their skills as this position can offer growth, stability and security. You will ideally have good knowledge of CNC, milling, turning, spark eroding and drilling experience.

Responsibilities:
* Operate all Standard Toolroom machinery and have experience with various CNC machinery operation and programming
* Perform all aspects of plastic injection mould tool requirements, maintenance, repair and modifications.
* Manufacture Jigs & Fixtures, Prototype tooling & parts and Test fixtures to support the manufacturing processes across the facility
* Provide technical support to the other functional departments.
Requirements:
* Proven engineering background with qualifications.
* Experienced with programming manual and CNC equipment, milling machines, lathes, spark/wire erosion and surface/cylindrical grinders.
* Logical approach to problem solving combined with superb organisational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
* Strong work ethic, resourceful with bags of initiative and a solid team player.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge if CAD/CAM packages is desirable
