Web Developer /Web Support Analyst
A great opportunity to joln a an established Software House for Web Developer and Support Analayst
Role will invole providing telephone and e-mail support to clients responding to requests for help, advice and guidance with their website(s) including those functions of the company's sofftware that directly relate to the operation of the website.
• Gathering of information for incident investigation and/or to provide adequate information for change specifications to be written.
• Liaising between clients and the development team tracking the progress of support tickets and keeping the client fully informed.
• Supporting clients websites including domain management, SSL certificate management and renewal, SQL server and IIS management.
• Training new and existing clients both in house and onsite in managing their websites.
• Working with our web services team to plan and help initiate new client websites.
• Providing basic specifications for minor client-driven modifications.
Also:
Learning how to and developing your ability to:
Build eCommerce solutions for clients with axis vMerchant using Microsoft ASP and ASP.net, Javascript, JQuery, HTML 5 and CSS3
Build content-managed websites for clients using 3rd Party CMS platforms (WordPress and Umbraco)
Maximise the Search Engine Optimisation of new and existing websites
Investigate, debug and resolve issues with existing web sites in conjunction with the Service Desk staff
Actively contribute to the maintenance of in-house & client web site(s), together with other members of the Web Services team
Liaise with account managers and members of the customer services department to help quantify web site enhancements required by clients
Build html-based email templates
Occasionally provide support directly with customers.
